Metro Plaza Hotel

The front desk attendants were all very friendly and helpful. Parking is easily accessible and cheaper than most of the area. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed, and large bathroom. For the price it was very nice, however some parts do look in need of maintenance or a deep cleaning. It’s in a great area, Olvera St market is in short walking distance along with many food options, pretty quiet and never felt unsafe walking around.

I've staid multiple times at that hotel. It's fine for a night or two in downtown Los Angeles, right next to the Olvera street market. The hotel is also conveniently located to Union Station, public transportation, and the Music Center with its theatres and the LA opera house. The rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms. TV, safe, and fridge are in the rooms. What's lacking is a coffee maker. Overall, one shouldn't come with too high expectations. It's a budget priced hotel and it's perfectly sufficient for me.

Rooms were just the right size for a party of 2. The seating arrangement could be changed, an actual chair would have been instead of the little foot rest the hotel provided as seats Service was great at the counter, checking in/out was a breeze with no difficulty. One thing not mentioned in beforehand(maybe I missed it) there is a parking fee if you stay in the parking lot within the hotel($5). Location was close to our plans.

I was stuck at Union Station waiting for a seriously delayed train, and they have NO electric outlets for waiting passengers there. The kind front desk folks at Metro Plaza Hotel let me hang out in their lobby, have some tea, and rest a bit while I recharged (literally and figuratively). It’s not a fancy place, but it’s just what’s needed when you’re exhausted from traveling, and you would be hard pressed to find more honest and compassionate people in this neighborhood. Thank you, Metro Plaza!

I recently stayed here with my partner when we were visiting LA on vacation. Aside from some minor maintenance concerns, I have nothing bad to say about the hotel. The location was great, the service was above average, and the price was unbeatable. The owner was incredibly nice and went out of his way to greet us if he was near the front desk when we were passing through. The housekeeping service was fine. Nothing to write home about, but no complaints, either. The noise level was acceptable. I've been in hotels with thicker walls, but we were able to sleep just fine, and that's all that matters. There is free wifi, and it's not super fast, but for the price, I'm not complaining. The free shampoo/conditioner bottles are not worth your time to try and use - just go to the convenience store downstairs and get some better ones.

Look local to union stion Don't think it took me ten minutes to get to the hotel rooms clean bed god slept well . I dont no but the bathroom lookes like it as been modernised big rain water shower head in the show very good and hot.They have water machines and ice machine on the landings you pay for what you get would I stay again big yes

For what it is--a cheap, no-frills hotel in a very convenient central location--it gets the job done. The front desk staff were all friendly. Despite what some third-party sites will tell you, there is no complimentary breakfast in the lobby, only water and coffee. The room was clean (if a bit dated), but the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable.

Excellent service. I arrived at union station at 4am and the environment was extremely unsafe and I couldn't check into my hotel until 12. These guys let me wait in the lobby even though I dont have a reservation here. Highly recommend!
